Wheelhouse Light – Artwork by Jeff Quigley. (finished 13 Sept 2026) “Wheelhouse Light”, Framed, acrylic on canvas, sized at 50cm x 40cm.

I am off and running, well painting again that is. Wheelhouse Light, I will be submitting into the October 2026 Themed Members Exhibition at the Emu Park Art Gallery. The theme for this one is ‘Reflections’.

I like the idea of specific forms of light beams and its effect on people and structures. In my case it is the light penetrating the wheelhouse of a rollicking trawler.

Wheelhouse Light will be for sale.

“Dogs Of War” – Latest artwork by Jeff Quigley. (finished 18th June 2026) “Dogs Of War”, Framed, acrylic on canvas, a big painting sized at 78cm x 78cm. Another piece finished, painting No.7 out of 10 (maybe 12) for the next August Exhibition at the Emu Park Art Gallery.

Again another heavily textured canvas used to work with. I do like mucking around with this style. I have had Dogs of War hovering in the back of the brain for some time. I actually detest these war mongers and believe the world would be a lot better place without them. Well one down three to go. The Hague awaits those living.

“Night Sail” – Latest artwork by Jeff Quigley. (finished 3rd June 2026) “Night Sail”, Framed, acrylic on canvas, a big painting sized at 78cm x 78cm. The count continues, Five down, five to go towards the upcoming August Exhibition.

I decided to step outside of my warped comfort zone with this one. Heavily textured canvas with a big dash of abstract. Didn’t have a clue when I commenced this one as to the direction it would take. Then – hey that looks like the ocean at night moment. Next minute the old sailing boat idea and wallah, we have ‘Night Sail’

Very happy with this one.

“Riding Home” – Latest artwork by Jeff Quigley. (finished 29 May 2026) “Riding Home”, Framed, acrylic on canvas, sized at 30cm x 40cm.

I’ve been sitting on this subject for some time. The drone eye view of riding along a small bush farm road approaching the bridge creek crossing. I grabbed the original image from an ad sometime ago and just made some ‘Quigley’ adjustments.

Coming down from Covid I have had a bit of time just to myself (Social Distancing) and had the opportunity to attack more canvases.

I Spent My Life On The Factory Floor – Latest artwork by Jeff Quigley. (finished 18 May 2026) “I Spent My Life On The Factory Floor”, Framed, acrylic on canvas, sized at 50cm x 40cm.

Two down, eight to go. I have set myself a big goal to have at least 10 new paintings, possibly 12 by the start of August this year.

I Spent My Life On The Factory Floor – how many times have we seen it. Poor buggers that work their entire life, reach the time to retire, have grand plans, sadly only to quickly perish.

Some say messiah coming got to get it right
Some say messiah coming give me back my time
All my time is lying on the factory floor
And all my time is lying on the factory floor.
(From the song I hear you calling by Bill Fay)

This one was/is a family special. I owed my big brother and Sister In Law a painting. Ted and Sue requested a painting of their pride and joy, their Winnebago Leisure Seeker. Now done and dusted and awaiting postage south.

The painting is off a photo provided with artist licence for the surrounding background.

“The Winnebago” is a Framed piece, acrylic on canvas, sized at 50cm x 40cm.

‘Through My Eyes, Muskers Beach’ – Latest artwork by Jeff Quigley finished 16/4/26.

Nearly every morning for decades now I have been blessed with having the opportunity to start each day with an early morning walk just down the road to one of my favourite places on the planet, Muskers Beach Zilzie.

Always escorted by security, namely my wolfpack (the dogs) ‘we’ have a spot where we stop and just comprehend what is around us and how lucky we are to be here. Of course continual throwing of the ball is compulsory. The current wolf pack is found at the centre bottom of the painting.

I made a pact to myself quiet some time ago that one day I would have a crack at painting what I was seeing before me …. “through my eyes”. Well this is it. There are a lot of things within the painting, some locals, beach friends, birds, turtle, boats departing the creek, and interesting scenic points.

‘Through My Eyes, Muskers Beach’ is a large framed painting, acrylic on canvas, 155cm x 55cm.
